TechSol: Okay did a full restore on my iPhone X last Friday. It lasted exactly a week and has done the same thing again :(

Guess I will just wait for Apple to get their issues sorted....

Sadly, Apple believe they have fixed it with the release of 13.3.

Will give that a try and report back in another week, but I’m not sure that will help when a full restore from iTunes didn’t...

Depends if you restored from backup or set it up fresh

Workmate’s iPhone did this - turned out that the iCloud back up must have been screwed as even after a restore the phone was faulty again. Had to set it up as new.

Hmm...my iPhone SE got to the point t where it would discharge in 15 minutes while getting REALLY hot.

Put it into airplane mode and its all OK.

Tried resetting it back to factory settings , but now wonder if the 13.3.x update did something to the Modem Chip.

Needed a working phone so shelled out for the cheapest 11 I could get.

Oddly after a reset when I started this topic it’s been playing nicely touch wood. I haven’t had any issues updating or with the phone getting really warm.
Stink to hear that a full restore didn’t solve the problem for someone mentioned above.

Okay did the network reset thing around the 28th, and the problem has returned this morning.

Additionally I am having trouble intermittently unlocking the phone- the touch screen won’t respond for anywhere from a few seconds to nearly a minute. Sometimes it’s fine, and I never have touchscreen issues at any other point.

Gah looks like setting up as a new phone is my only option. What a pain- I’ve had an iPhone since 2009 and never had an issue.

I went through a similar experience with my iPad Air 2 after installing the recent ios 13 updates. Initially a simple sign out, then sign back into my account in Settings seemed to fix App Store not working, but then I started to experience intermittent app crashes and resprings (like Netflix dying while AirPlay streaming, which I've never had before).

The fix was to make a local backup in itunes, followed by a full DFU restore (which reinstalls iOS, reloads backup and reinstalls all apps). iPad now working fine again, hopefully it stays that way.

Okay back on this one with some updates. I managed to destroy my iPhone X over the holidays. Restored my backup onto an old 6s and the same problems were there (although much worse and happened sooner)

Got my replacement iPhone X (brand new, different phone altogether) except this time I set it up as a new phone (didn’t restore from any backups)

It definitely runs better with less glitching, however the App Store glitch just happened again this morning (just on a week later)

So basically I am out of options to resolve this. The issue persists over multiple phones, backup , new phone, DFU etc etc makes no difference

Super frustrating.....
