The biggest single improvement Apple could make to ATV is to supply a half-way decent, non-minimalist remote.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

I’d be happy just to have a remote with a mute button.

I would be happy if it were just bigger. Perhaps 3 times the size? The kids are constantly losing it...

I couldn't care less about Apple News, but having a premier plan would allow me to roll up my Apple Music ($22.99 a month), iCloud 2TB ($16.99 a month) into a single payment. If I get Apple TV+ and Fitness+ on top of that then that would be a bonus.

I bought the 44mm Stainless Steel watch with milanese loop, I had the braided one loop in cart but I went out for an hour, came back and the date got pushed to November. I'll probably just get the band separately.

Yeah, updated remote is one thing I'd like.  I did read a rumour somewhere that there will be some sort of 'Find my remote' app, analagous to the 'Find My Phone' app.  So when "the kids" lose it, you can track it down no probs.

No new Apple TV.  I'd been holding off upgrading to a 4K, thinking there might be a new model about now.

I'm keeping an eye out for an updated Apple TV as well.

Not sure exactly what a new model is going to bring to the party, though.

A faster chip would be nice for gaming/Apple Arcade but it'll still be casual gaming spec compared to the soon-to-be last gen PS4/Xbox One.

There's supposed to be an updated Homepod coming as well. So maybe enough for a smart home event?

There are rumours of an October event where their new ARM iMac's will be shown off just prior to the promised 2020 [our summer] release, along with iPhone 12 & SE. So hopefully a new TV box & Homepod then. The Homepod now runs on the basics of the TV OS which is based on the vanilla iOS, soooooo there are rumours the two maybe combined. As the Homepod also has HomeKit capabilities they may drop the physical remote all together and you will run it all via Siri and/or iDevice remote app.

But I just wish they would release something new/updated in the TV Box arena pleaseeeeee.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

I was really hoping for an ARM powered laptop. That would be exciting.

New iPads are a nice modest progression, even if the entry level is still based on a 2 year old chip.

Anyone know if the new iPad Air is compatible with the new 'Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad'?

If it is then I'll probably get one sooner or later.

Ordered series 6 right after the keynote. Air 4 is very cool but I'm a 12" pro user so will wait till that gets updated. I also thought the Fitness+ service looked really good and the combined Apple One service as I already pay for Music and iCloud drive so the new plan would give me TV+ and arcade for only a few dollars more.

I ordered the watch what I thought was pretty quick after the keynote but got a ship date of 29/09. How about you? Is NZ not getting the watch until 29/09?

I ordered the second the site came back online and also got 29/9

Yes, the Air 4 works with the magic keyboard

I doubt you will see an ARM-based iMac first out the gate. I expect they will start small with either a new 12" macbook or the 13" macbook pro.

Not a problem. I've got a Harmony Remote. 😀

See above. 😀

I am looking forward to the updates tomorrow. I have a series 5 watch, an iPad Pro last years and an iPhone 11 so I won’t be replacing any of those this year. The only replacement I am considering is replacing my 2017 iMac with a MacBook Pro. I am also looking forward to BigSur later this year.

The bundled iCloud, Music, TV looks interesting and could be worthwhile.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Im really liking the sound of all the new privacy measures they are baking into ios14..

Facebook on Wednesday acknowledged that Apple’s upcoming iOS 14 could lead to a more than 50% drop in its Audience Network advertising business.
