dt:
one cool thing I noticed so far is when I was using the phone and a phone call came through it came up as a notification badge rather than taking over the whole screen, thought it was very neat!
Apple are touting that as one of the new features in iOS 14.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
I like the new widget's but imo stupid you cannot do the same on the iPad pro.
Like having the new background on carplay pretty cool.
I also love the new auto switching for the air pods.

What can you do with iOS 14 widgets on iPhone that you can’t do on iPad? I have both and can’t see a difference.

I mean have them on the home screen or being able to move them around.

Updated my iPhone 11 Pro Max this morning - everything went smoothly. There was a update for carrier settings where I was hoping that Spark had turned on VoLTE for Skinny but alas that wasn't the case.

3 failed attempts to update Apple Watch series 3. Each time it says I’m not connected to the Internet after spending 1.5 to 2 hrs downloading to the AW!!!
I had something similar with my sons apple watch 3.... it just finished upgrading about 1 hour ago -- started around 3:30pm when he got home from school -- so took about 5 hours to upgrade.
It was stuck in 'preparing' for much of that time.
I have been running the BETA for a few months and it went far smoother than iOS 13 did...
So far iOS 14 has gone very well for me, I know there will be a lot of people who are scared after the cluster of the last big update, but I'm liking the home screen widgets, the small call screen and the new Carplay background colours.
I have been using it for the last few weeks since public beta 7 I think. But noticed an annoying bug with the widgets where it intermittently decided to unpack most of my apps from the folders, if I moved the widget between home screens. Not sure if the GM / final release fixed that, but it was an annoying bug, and haven't moved the widgets since. It also badly drained my battery, but that seems to have gotten better since the GM was released. But overall it is a good improvement. ipad OS 14 is less of an improvement IMO, especially as you can't reposition widgets on the homescreens. They are still restricted to the left side bar.
Have been using it for a few weeks too and loving it. Especially the fact incoming calls no longer takes over your whole screen.
Think I am having an issue turning on the Exposure function, seems to take me around in circles, then says your notifications are now on, but open up Exposure setting again and still says it's off? Anyone having a similar issue with either iOS 13 or 14?

How do you tell whether it's using VoLTE? There's now a toggle for it (Settings/Mobile/Mobile Data Options/Voice & Data) but I don't know how to tell whether it's actually making use of it.
grayskull:It tells me that it can't open the Exposure settings because we have a Government issues COVID app and sends me to the App Store.

Grip = In CarPlay you still have to mention the app to use when asking Siri. eg. "Provide directions to the nearest McDonalds using Google Maps". If you don't stipulate Google Maps then it defaults to Apple Maps. It would be nice to actually have a 'toggle switch' in the iPhone CarPlay settings. This applies to all 3rd party apps.
I too love the new widgets though I do not think I will have a use for Stacks.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

I suppose even more obvious would be the fact that it dropped down to 3G when I made a call :P
Did my XR today and my watch to OS7. Both as simple and easy as ever with Apple.
