Somewhat unintuitively....if you have the 2TB iCloud storage plan, you may find Apple One doesn't appear

If you cancel the 2TB plan, you'll then see Apple One as a subs option.

You don't lose any data doing this, as plan stays active until next renewal.

Sign up to Apple One, then reactivate the 2TB iCloud storage.

For the life of me I cant seem to find pricing for the 2TB Apple One plan in NZ.

I currently have the 2TB iCloud storage option, and suspect I have the same issue as you have mentioned as no option for a Apple One Subscription in settings.

Can I ask, how much is it costing you with the 2TB activated?

Ah I have 2 TB iCloud storage and shared with family. So you're saying cancelling this and join Apple One and resub should work - and won't affect family members shared on iCloud storage?

The pricing is the same - $16.99 on top of Apple one

To get Apple One to appear go to

Settings
Apple ID
iCloud
Manage storage
Change storage
Downgrade to 200 GB - it’ll say it’ll downgrade you next billing cycle. You don’t lose storage immediately

Go back to subscriptions and Apple one will appear
Sign up

Go back to iCloud change storage and switch back to 2TB

I just did this before I saw your reply; can confirm it works. Note: Downgrade to 200GB if you do share with family members, but the "switch" is only for short few seconds.

I went back to iCloud Storage subscription to make sure the "Downgrade" option is 2TB on next renewal.

So now I have Apple One and with 2TB (keep) iCloud Storage sharing with family.

Thanks, much appreciated. You'd think Apple being the big marketing company that they are wouldn't result in people having to search forums to work out how to do this, so I appreciate that people like you can share your knowledge.

I am trying to get my head around this at the moment. I currently have Apple TV and a 200GB iCloud. I currently use Spotify for music but I am leaving Spark so wont have the "free" Spotify premium therefore I am considering Apple Music to replace it. I am trying to get my head around if its all worth it. I haven't caught up with what games Arcade has but could be fun I guess. I see wee don't have Fitness here but in light of the last few months that not a priority I am just thankful that I did not pass to Valhalla.

The Music service is good but IMO Spotify connect is the killer feature for Spotify. Unless you have Airplay targets everywhere Spotify is much nicer to use.

I'd probably prefer Apple Music, just because it would move some subscriptions all into one place, but Spotify Connect keeps me on the service.

Nice to see you back BTW, I expect we'll be arguing like cats and dogs soon.

Thanks for that, good to be back. Over that last few weeks I have moved back to  Apple ecosystem except for Linux which I still "play" with. My audio system in the home connects well with Apple. My Own CD collection has been digitalised onto my home server.
