Batman:

never buy a tech product to last many years

buy them for other reasons

I don't agree with this really - this is one of the biggest pluses Apple has had over the rest of the industry, is the (generally speaking) seamless and long supported updates. I could, and have, kept an iPhone for 4+ years, still fully supported.

Sure I wouldn't let it be my only reason I choose a device, but it definitely factors in to it.

I'm sure Android is changing with some of the projects on the go (project treble, where are you?), but last I used Android, the release and support process for new updates was pretty poor still.

All that said - Congrats OP on your new purchase!

Ive been looking into this comparison as well as the cost is almost the same currently. I'd lean towards the 11 Pro too

It really seems like the way to go based on current prices, I keep waiting around though hoping to see the 12 drop in price, but nobody seems to be putting them on sale (As expected obviously).

11 Pro just seems like good value...

A friend just made this exact decision this past weekend...based on my experiences and how pleased I've been for the last 12 months with my iPhone 11Pro, they decided to get that in a larger capacity (i.e. 256 vs 128gb).

I have to say, this is the very first iPhone I have ever had that feels as good a year on as it did the day I got it. No buyers remorse whatsoever.
