dunk: Hi!
Yep, i have been busy upgrading, uninstalling, downgrading, reinstalling. Nothing! My friend and I spent hours yesterday trying to figure it out. Still detects as "apple iphone" on his old xp laptop. Im thinking its a waste of time, especiaslly when the geniuses at the mac store just shrugged and looked blankly at me hahaha.
I can SSH into it, but I dont think think that can help, if only i could restore.............

If i remember rightly, doesnt Firmware 2.0 come with the option to wipe all settings and cotent, (If i remember rightly, i think this actually does a restore, just without the computer) but it will lock it again (Because your phone was made for ATT)

Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings

Yes that basically turns it off for an instant then reboots to the pineapple screen!
Do you know of a good repairer in NZ?
Obviously not Apple as its jailbroken and they dont deal with non 3g units anyway
