The US models cannot do not do blood oxygen due to the stoush with Masimo. They are different models I believe, solely for the US market marked LW/A - with sensors disabled. I have no idea if they can be reactivated by software update in the future if the lawsuit is settled.

It's interesting that the sleep apnoea monitoring doesn't use oxygen sats but only accelerometry. Possibly to get round the Masimo lawsuit. But if oxygen measurement is important for you then don't get a US Apple Watch! Presumably also an issue for Chinese sourced 15Pro and higher iPhones and Apple Intelligence.

arjeezy: I picked mine up from Dubai for approx $200 nzd cheaper. Set it up once i got back without any issues. Have not added a cellular plan on it though

That’s good to know. I am going to Dubai as well. Did you get yours at the airport?

I picked mine up from the Apple Store at Mall of Emirates. Only downside was that Apple apparently don't participate in the UAE Tourist Tax refund scheme so you cant get tax refund on these but then again, tax isn't too much there tbh.

Also, something to note - I was told that if you buy it from a local retailer (EMax, Sharaf DG, etc) then warranty is also local, unsure if this will be the case if you pick it up from Duty free.
