Not really as you'll get an iPhone Activation Server unavailable shortly (Took me 3 min total to download)

Mutly: Sure is. Even better is post install having iTunes continually fail to re-activate my phone. I just keep getting a lovely "We could not compelte your iTunes Store request. The network connection timed out."

I guess I have a brick for the morning until the load settles. What a pain.

Mine did not brick... just did not take down the carrier settings, and now cannot sync again with iTunes.  Will not be able to MMS or Tether until that is fixed.
Can possibly update MMS settings manually.

The phone has loaded 3.0.

That's the one...any way round it...ie, not having to phone home? Tried disconnecting net, but it doesn't like that either.. Might just have to wait!

Seems that the carrier settings have been fixed. Tethering requires you to contact Voda NZ

iTunes gave me the update for $13.99 instead of the $19 announced in the press release. Did anyone else get it for cheap?

I know it is frustrating. Just keep trying... it will happen eventually. Also make sure you sync after the activation.

I can't brain today. I have the dumb.

Got 3.0 for my ipod this morning, dont particularly like the new wi-fi login method (specificaly with cafeNET).... but do like the landscape keyboard for email!

Have not yet worked out how to pair it with my car headunit via bluetooth.

Probably just need a bit more time to become familiar.
