slickcoder: hey I got an iphone as well but out of curiosity I tried to connect it to Telecom XT and it didn't work. However my phone is okay as I'm using it to connect to Vodafone.

My phone was purchased outside New Zealand.

I've jailbroken my iphone with latest firmwares too.. hehehe

Have you changed the default password for SSH?

I have only seen ones that called it a nokia get removed, the lookalikes were left alone.

That would be a first. All iPhones are "designed in California, assembled in China".

Possibly a rip-off manufacturer with a sense of humor, "designed in China, made in America",
Or maybe it slipped through a crack in reality from 100yrs in the future :)

Ha.

it was funny with trademe. I had a few imported, unlocked and sold em back when the iPhone was first out.

Had several pulled from trademe, but as Apple nor vodafone sold them in nz and they were the real deal I was a little upset with.
Sold all in Buy sell etc though.

Anyways, as soon as vodafone announced they had the iphone 3g for sale the old 2Gs were allowed to be on Trademe.

Talk about a flip-flop!

I think there is a place in China, or maybe it was Taiwan called Usa (i.e not U.S.A) founded just so they can print on their products "MADE IN USA"
