Handsomedan: Still think 250mb per month is too light.

Once the 3gb per month ends in July, it'll be very hard to stay below 250mb. I am averaging 1.5gb per month at the moment.

Time to uninstall that torrent app :)
I don't know how you use so much data. I use maps, mail, web browsing, app store on 3G and barely get above 200MB a month. Then again I don't stream youtube or anything.
Agree - what are you doing to use that much data?  or are you tethering?
Nope - not tethering at all.

Doing a lot of World cup viewing on Veetle, plus update all my apps on 3G as dont have w'ifi at work or home.

Will just have to un-bookmark Veetle, I think.

We've extended the 3GB/1000PXT offer for another month.

Cheers

Any particular reason, Paul?

It's proving very interesting in terms of how the customers use mobile broadband. We'll have a refresh in the next few months so we'll carry on with this until then.

I am sure it is interesting.  Some probably abuse it but for me, I probably dont go close to the limit of my plan 250mb but it is nice to know I dont have to worry about it if I download some apps or teather my laptop when on holiday.

That's it really - the vast majority (well over 99%) don't get even remotely near their limit. But it's good to know they can use more if they need to.

Since the iPhone plan launched.  It was a special '3 month deal' from memory.

I know I have 3GB / month to use if I want to.....but I probably don't use even half that.

The one scenario that would see me bang my head on the ceiling is when the DSL dies at home and I have to tether everyone onto the Net via my phone. That's happened a couple of times for a whole weekend. We do about 2GB/day at home between the four of us.

It applied to the Smart80 and 130 plans too, IIRC.

Since about July last year?

It's applied to me ever since I bought my HTC Magic on July 22nd, 2009 on a two-year Smart80 plan.

Forget 3Gb for a limited time. Make it 1Gb for everyone all the time and I'd sign up.
