SheriffNZ: I really should unsubscribe from this thread given I'm not getting a new phone until the 7 comes out. I'm getting very jealous of everyone getting these new toys....

Dont kid yourself, if you are subscribed to this thread then you are buying one :D Maybe not now, but you will buy it eventually :D

I've got 9 months left on my contract, will hold out for another 3 and then work will (should) pay for a new phone. Hopefully that incentive will keep my wallet in my pocket.

Satch:
littleheaven: Hey, I am calm :oP I was merely trying to explain why I'm skeptical about the phones shipping from China. Plus, I've not had great experiences with TNT in the past so I've become a little jaded. Twice they've driven my device all over Auckland for 12 hours and then returned to base with it still in the truck (iPhone 5 and iPad Air), hence my concern about capacity to deliver. Don't worry, I won't lose sleep if I don't get it on Friday. Far worse things have happened to me than that :o)

Well just be glad you haven't had an experience like me with an iPhone 6S case delivery.  After I pre-ordered my phone on 12 Sept, I ordered a couple of cases direct from Spigen in the US.  Placed my order and paid for 4-8 business day shipping.  Kept and eye on tracking only to see it arrive in Canada, go through customs clearance, and being rejected by Canadian customs due to not fitting their regulations (I assume it was because it had a NZ address on it!).

Several emails to Spigen later, I've received one response asking me to confirm my shipping address and nothing more (the very same address I gave in my customer set up that they already have).  I've asked them to expedite a replacement order to me to arrive this Friday but I have no idea what they are going to do, if anything.  I think I will need to buy a case locally to use temporarily until my ordered cases arrive (again, if they do).  I like my stuff to remain in mint condition.

Oh while I was tapping out this response, I received an automated email from them about a couple of items in my cart, wondering if I was going to purchase them!!!  Geez...

Just buy spigen cases locally from www.Cbay.co.nz, they are based on East Tamaki and you can pick up too. I have been buying all my spigen cases from them for ages now. Cant be bothered waiting so long for international delivery.

They're my neighboring business!!

Earlier in the thread I was against upgrading my 6 Plus to a 6S Plus.

Just saw this AMA and I was sold. Ordered a 6S Plus 128GB from Spark, the confirmation says delivery by launch day (hopefully).

Guess breaking the annual iPhone upgrade cycle is impossible.

Just out of interest, is there any "Day 1" Units still available for Pre-Order? Buying outright. Looks like if there are in fact any day1 units left, you must sign up to a plan.

Highly likely the answer is a no, but just interested...

Not any more, you could've gotten them directly through Apple, but the day 1 units are all gone now.

It's *possible* that perhaps Noel Leeming might sell some outright on their launch at their flagship stores - They seem to be selling things more as an 'Apple store within a store' recently. I noticed the other day they had a sign of iPhone 6S/6S+ pricing (which were all outright prices, not carrier pricing) next to the phones.

They don't seem to have revealed what they're doing on launch day yet though, their website just allows you to submit your details for more information if you are interested...

I've got my 6s plus case, that came through Sydney and with DHL Express. I am guessing the first preorders of iPhones are coming from china, and maybe then rest from Sydney, but I am not 100% sure, this is the first time me preordering and for some reason, I am VERY HYPED!

For those who ordered from Spark, did any of you receive any new updates in the past few days after the email from "Spark Customer Services" ?
