ZollyMonsta: Charge has shown on my credit card now too (had been being held since ordering). Under 'Global Collect Apple Australia'I guess ANZ have abbreviated it then, because as I posted just before you did - mine simply says "Global Colle".
The wait is nearly over :-)

sp77150: Well I talked to Apple on the 0800 number on the 12th but I think order was confirmed on the 14th because I made the mistake of picking financing. I should've just payed using credit card. My question is, if Apple charged a $1 to confirm the GE Money thing was valid on the 12th, why did it say Awaiting payment for 2 days.

Obviously I'm not aware of or privy to the particulars of your transaction but I was advised over the phone (and I think it stated it somewhere on the preorder page too) that paying via finance would take and additional 24+ hours to process and orders wouldn't be officially placed until the finance had come through. This means that your early action on the 12th was for naught... I can only speculate that this is perhaps because Apple cannot confirm available live balances on GE finance cards in the same way that they can with bank issued credit cards?
Either way, you're right though, paying by credit card in the first place i(f it were an option) would've eliminated - or at least mitigated - your risk of delays.
