dejadeadnz: I don't want to spoil people's excitement too much but once the phone gets to NZ, you're still reliant on the absolutely pathetic TNT couriers and their agent NZ Couriers to deliver your items in good time and properly. From my and many others' experiences, this isn't something that you want to pin too much hope on. I am sure you'll eventually get it but you could be in for some hassles.

TNT/NZC is basically why I don't order things direct from Apple.

The only issue I've had in the past with TNT was last year when I ordered a 5S and a case - the case shipped a week before the phone and no-one was home to sign for it, but the courier just shoved it in the mailbox anyway and actually forged a signature. Knowing the phone was coming soon, I complained and the driver apparently faced "major disciplinary action" and I haven't had any issues since.

I see some people's cards haven't been charged yet. I'm in the same boat... Has anyway had any movement on that? ie have they been charged yet?! Phone was received yesterday

I've had three terrible experiences with them. All of them revealed extremely concerning integrity-related issues on the part of their staff. First instance was when I bought a young family member's IPhone 4 (it was a birthday gift) in good time to give to her on the day. An exception was shown on the TNT website soon after it arrived in Auckland and I chased up pretty hard for obvious reasons. Promises to call back etc never eventuated. Stories kept changing and there reached a point 48 hours into this nonsense where a person who was a supervisor represented to me that they will be able get my phone and do a 60 minute urgent courier to me.

That didn't happen. I got so fed up and demanded to speak with their Auckland GM, who admitted that the "urgent courier" thing could have been nothing but a load of nonsense because they had never been able to find my item and hadn't been able to for days -- their systems would have made that obvious. He was pretty good and very apologetic but that was pretty ridiculous. Second time they/their agent let me down was for NZC did the forged signature nonsense.

The third time was when I helped my ex-boss arrange the rapid pickup/repair thing (where they send out a new phone to you before you send your faulty one in) for his IPhone 5. I ordered a pickup of the faulty phone (which I had with me) on a Auckland Anniversary Day, so they couldn't get NZC to pick it up on that Monday. The TNT staff member arranged the pick up on Tuesday morning but it was too late for the local NZC courier to pick up. I told TNT on Monday my mobile number and that I would work from home on Tuesday to facilitate the pickup. Yet they never, ever phoned me on the morning of Tuesday to explain to me that I should not bother waiting (actually wanted to go and do other things). I complained again to TNT's GM and he claimed that his staff assured him that I was called. There were no missed calls nor voicemail messages on my phone that day.

I can handle mistakes but I refuse to deal with dishonest people.

My 6 got to me within 3 days of showing as shipped. I thought that was pretty impressive.

When did you order? My earliest delivery date is still the 15th.

About 7pm on Friday, once the shipping estimate had slipped to 7-10 days.

Nice one. I ordered Saturday lunch time, still said 7-10 day then. Still showing as processing though.

Received iPhone yesterday too. Initially card was charged as the money went out almost immediately when I bought it but it has appeared back in my account again so a bit confused...

Wow. They delivered it today for me. The driver told me they were all getting paid way more than usual to deliver all the Apple devices out as fast as they could.

It feels great!! Really need my case though before I go out and about with it I think. That should arrive soon.

Wow. I wish couriers would forge a signature for me and put it in my mailbox. Saves me having to be home 24/7 whenever I'm expecting a delivery.

EDIT: Woops sorry for double post. Not sure if that's an issue on this forum or not.

Yeah hahaha. Feels so good though to have it .. I'm hoping my case arrives today but it'll probably arrive sometime next week.

I think I'll keep it my soft bag pocket until my case arrives :P

had it just been the case I had ordered, I was fine with knowing that it had been sitting in the mailbox all day. However, it was knowing that if I didn't say anything a $1,199 phone would be sitting there all day the following week that made me complain/say something.

Oh god yes. Bought mine off Amazon and ETA is 22 October. Went to the city to try get a cheapie until then but the cheapest was $24 so ended up buying one for $8 incl shipping off Trade Me. Hope it gets here early next week cause I'll be keeping it in its own bag until then eek!

Still a bit worried about the money still being in my account.
