Thought it might have been midnight, but nothing yet!

Riggleby: Who the hell goes and lines up for a phone at midnight? Just order it through the Apple online store at 11am tomorrow morning.

I've never seen the online store sell when the clock ticks over.

The earliest I've seen it become available for purchase was around 4am or so (iPhone 5 I think), 9am in SF.

Yes, I've stayed up once :P

I've got a monitor set up on UptimeRobot for when the buying page no longer says "currently unavailable". Plus a more specific one for the particular model I'm interested in.

If I get a notification (and I happen to be awake near that time) I will post here, after ordering mine of course ;)

Nice, thanks! Question is, stay up all night, or hit the hay and get up early!

Heh. I'm gonna get some sleep at this point. But I'll turn my phone volume up high to (hopefully) hear the notification.  Hmmm.. now where's the setting to make email alerts play a long annoying song....

Edit: found setting and set to nyan cat

Last year with the 5S, they updated the online store when all countries that were in that particular release wave had reached midnight and were all into the release day. So assuming they do the same thing thing year, 11am NZ time.

11am NZ time it's equal to 00:00am in Portugal, Ireland and Isle of Man, which are the last countries, regarding timezone, included in this 2nd batch of iPhone 6/6+ launch.

Sounds about right.

By the way, hello from Portugal, can't wait to order my 6 also =)

Surely they don't take it offline for 3 hours? It's 0800hrs here now.

Doh....we know that Apple Australia run NZ Apple and over the years have treated us with contempt. We really should be treated like another Aussie state as far as Apple launches go.

We are simply waiting for the lazy aussie fockers to wake up and turn the store on....its still 6am there...the guys need their sleep.
