I got used to Face ID really quickly when I got my X and actually don't miss Touch ID at all

I have a 6S for work and find touch ID feels like a step backwards now.

I love Face ID, the only restriction is it doesn't like sunglasses.

I've never had problems with multiple pairs of glasses, even ones with mirror lenses

Just tested - doesn’t work with my Rayban Wayfarers other glasses are ok

Yep its the XS. I have very strong 5Ghz and it still switches to 2.4Ghz

Apparently quite a few videos of people are having trouble with the networks and phonecalls, but that it may get fixed in the next ios update. Also there was someone who had a problem with a blue shift on the screen when tilting it sideways on the xs max, which is more noticeable than just on the older X. Apparently the screens are being made by two different manufacturers this year. I think last year they were just made by samsung.

Don't have the older X, or much experience with OLEDs, but while I see the blue shift when looking at it from the side, its THE WRONG WAY to use it! :D Or to put it another way; I don't see the problem in practical use myself.

Blue shift is common with OLED screens, wouldn't worry about it

Glad I’m not having any of these issues like call quality or network issues and dropping down to 2.4ghz on wifi. I have the subtle blue tint on the angle but wouldn’t call that an issue.

I made the mistake of wondering what the wifi issues were, looks like I'm affected in that my Xs Max is preferring to go on 2.4ghz instead of 5ghz

You can reset network settings, and it temporarily fixes the issues, but the phone will end up preferring the 2.4ghz band again.

Hopefully there's a software fix

Has anyone had BT and WiFi issues in that a friends XS Max wont even connect to 2.4Ghz Wifi all of 10 meters from their router, however my iPhone 6s has no issues. They also explain that listening to Spotify in the car via BT is now a terrible experience, using the old iPhone 7 the issues disappear.

I've found my X and my 7 before it both always had a tendency to jump on 2.4Ghz (even though I have band steering enabled on my AP). But my iPad Air 2 and my partners 6 Plus consistently favour 5Ghz.

I assumed it was just due to the iPad and 6 Plus having (presumably) bigger antennas.

My X didn't have that same problem, but to be honest whether its on 2.4 and 5 doesn't really affect general use. It's only a problem if you like to run speedtests lol.

Otherwise I've got no issues with 4G, I was getting over 100Mbit sitting in the covered Thorndon New World car park which was good

only thing I’ve noticed is it takes a minute to connect via BT to my head unit where as it was almost instant on my 7 Plus. No wifi issues always connects to 5ghz first pop
