Alright guys.

Excited for everybody here, hope you all get your phones tomorrow.

Yes, shipped! Via DHL not TNT? There is hope...

Just got my confirmation text, says "will deliver by 25/9" :) So the mythical warehouse was a red herring then.

If you click on the tracking link on the order page, and look at the URL, the sequence of numbers at the end of the URL are your tracking number.
Copy that and go to the DHL main page to then track the shipment!

Must've been shipped on the 19th from China to Sydney

For all we know the units could actually be in Auckland seeing as the shipping info on DHL hasn't been updated since the 21st

I've had the same experience with DHL as the poster a few messages back. They hand the packages over to another courier and they turn up a day later than Apple say they will.

In fact I had a Mac charger this very week that was a day late. I'm in Wellington.

I called DHL and asked if this would be the process for iPhones this Friday, and was told the process is a different one. They seemed to imply no handover would take place.

Hope you're right, that's been my experience with every apple product I've bought - turns up a day late c/o the DHL to Courier Post handover where the latter sits on it for a day. Seemingly for no reason too when DHL handover early in the AM.

I'm in Wellington too.

I used the DHL tracking page to sign up for all the shipment notifications via SMS :)

Well, I've put the tracking number into my incredibly handy dandy Parcel app, so I'll get a push notification the moment its status changes.

Yes, about 15 min after launch (which was the earliest I could get the site to load!).

Alright thanks for the replies. I've got a question about Apple Maps, sorry if this isn't related. Once the map is loaded on wifi do I have to keep data/hot spot on for Siri to tell me when to turn and what not. On android I can just load map and then no need for wifi/data/hot spot, google voice just gives me directions(unless of course rerouting)

I'd post your question in its own thread if I were you mate... There's a whole gaggle of foaming-mouthed iPhoneophiles all slavering over the final hours of waiting ahead who may just turn feral and eat your face off...
