The fix is to try again later --- their servers will be under huge load.

I must have got in before the rush this morning as it only took 5 mins to download and another 5 to update. After a reboot it took 10 mins to sync as there were a few apps to update.

Had a small issue trying to get tethering to work - surface would connect but no net. Reboot of phone seems to fix. Google decided to send me all my email again (because they don't implement pop del commands correctly) and I have not yet worked out how to do a 'mark all read' on the new IOS.

The download took 1 min

it was configuring that took the time.

I like it a lot especially accessing via the pull up bar, and i like the calender scrolling down through the months. Just simple improvements making things better.

A big thumbs up

Anyone else using a Mac & using Orcon?

I've tried to update iTunes to 11.1, but it kept giving me a DNS error in the OSX App Store. I figured their server we getting hammered and I'd try later, but still the same error.

Then I remembered that Orcon had DNS issues a couple of days ago, something about using another DNS server across the country, catch-up and not quite being 100%

Changed DNS to 8.8.8.8 again, and now iTunes update from OSX app store works....hrm.

Going to try iOS 7 now when i get back from work.
Has anyone lost any of their apps or data? I'm going to play it real safe, and close my itunes data sym links, and put all my .ipa files back on the SSD, as I assume all the apps get taken off, and loaded back on from that backup store....

(I don't like backing up all our apps to my capacity limited SSD, when they can simply be downloaded again)

Handsomedan: Jaxson - it's limited only to the 5S.

What is?

Sorry - was answering from my iPhone and it didn't quite fall into line with the conversation...

120fps slow motion video.

Only available on the new 5S hardware. Not available on 5 or 5C according to all the blurb.

Well have only had a few minutes to use my iPad so far. Initial impressions are great, I like it a lot.
I glossed over the instruction on how to invoke spotlight and now can't work it out!
Also, on iPad, the way folders are implimented is shockingly terrible. I can't believe they made that decision!
(9 times on screen, have to scroll to next 9 etc) what a cock up! Hopefully will be fixed quickly.

Cheers,
Joseph

I updated my iPad Mini and my iPhone 5 at 6am today...took ages but on both devices I got an error message after the software was downloaded - then had to try a couple of times to install it...worked and looks good...like brand new devices, to be honest.

I'm sure the novelty will wear off, but i have been using my iPad all morning and multitasking works a treat!
