Its almost here. IMO its the best by far reason to upgrade your iPhone, but you don't have to, its free

Here is a lay summary of what Apple is doing with iOS7, the direction, not the actual featureset. Interesting read

Have been using ios7 on iPad 3 since its first beta form.

It is a nice update from ios6 , I like it finally has the android style pull up (pull down on Android) quick settings bar.
Fair few glitches but as to be expected with beta release.

The advanced users won't have a problem but I can tell I'm gonna have to teach a few people where things are since the whole OS looks completely different for a basic user, especially those who only use icons to navigate and aren't used to reading text to find out what they're doing. (hope you get what I mean)

Just a heads up to any MDM admins out there, iOS7 removes the ability for the MDM to poll the UDID of the device.
The consequence of this is that the device will show as Jailbroken when the MDM checks for compliance.

I suggest you have a look at whatever compliance rules you have in place, otherwise any user who upgrades to iOS7 could be wiped; dependant on what rules you have in place. The fix requires an agent upgrade for the device and at least a hotfix for the MDM,

At best you are going to need to re-enrol all devices, at worst you are going to be dealing with customer rage and wiped devices.

Speak to your Telco or MDM account person for a full synopsis of the issue.

Darren

The app updates are coming thick and fast now so it cannot be too far off.

You mean iOS 7? I'm tempted to leave it a few days, every year there are server errors etc.

Apparently it is over 1GB on size, so hope you are on a big data plan.
Apparently the betas weren't good on the ipad 2 or 3, due to it being quite laggy and buggy. Not sure if it will all be fixed on the final version.

Will this unlock 120fps 720p video on an iphone5?
Or do you expect this will be limited to the new iphone as a selling point?
