Had a chance to play with it for last couple of weeks. I haven't been through one cycle as of yet as I haven't used it much. It seems to have a good battery life - and has a lovely screen + the speakers go pretty loud. Perfect for media viewing.

It's the higher spec one but I haven't felt it was slow doing day to day task. I haven't tried editing photos / movies / play games however. The track pad is nice and big - and has a nice feedback.

Very slick overall - and I think it's a great piece of kit for everyday use / business as well. However, if you are into something more graphical - probably best to go for MacBook Pro Retina 15" which has just been updated.

Was it Bill Bennett that suggested that it could be for some, the best option to use an when an iPad would be preferred, (as in small and light and portable), but avoid being stuck with the limitations of iOS?  Usefulness and completeness of Windows or OSX, but portability of an iPad. If it can do more than just email and web, say light video editing, photo work, it would be a nice option. SP3 competitor as its similar, sort of, and ball park in price.
