I guess at least it identifies one as a true tech enthusiast though.

Tech enthusiasts though don't tend to be Apple fan boys. They tend to buy android as it allows more custom setups. Apple products aren't generally new generation products, they are an old existing product that they try to perfect. eg apple didn't invent the smartphone, the smart watch, they just improved on what was already in the market.

Haha you're probably right.

Perhaps a raspberry pi wristwatch would be more appropriate for a true tech person.

These 'new' products IMO show that apple are struggling. If they are going to bring out a new smaller iphone, IMO it should have at least had a new case design, rather than a design which is over 4 years old. They are quite fat phones in this day and age of smart phones. Cerntainly not a cutting edge design.  It is pretty much what they have done to the ipod touch, just update the internals to the minimum of what people would buy it with. But it will sell, because there is a market with people who don't want the big smart phones. But WTH are they still selling these things with only 16GB storage for.

Well I buy Apple stuff, and am an Apple fan although I would not by the apple watch, well not at least for a few more generations until it is substantially better and more useful. Is it a negative thing to be called an Apple fan buy? The reason I buy apple, is because their support for the life of their products is superior to the other brands. I mean what other brand continues to support devices for 4 plus years?

Just a humorous expression I guess....kind of like calling someone one-eyed . ie, they only see what they want to see.

IMHO the iPad Pro would be more enticing to me if it were able to be used with a mouse when the Keyboard is attached. I can use my Surface when travelling with a small BT travel mouse and it makes a good little

FineWine: So we all wait for the Kiwi pricing

for the 64Gb iPhone 6SE

NZ$949

and US$499

Exchange as at 22/03/16 @1355 = US$67.615 for NZ$100.00 still a rip off

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

My Wife's 5S has died a few days ago so he timing is good for her as she thinks my 6S is too large.  When i asked in JB hi Fi, Noel's and Harvey's today in Wellington they all said that the don't sell the new phones outright for the first few months of release, and it can only be bought with a contract (2degrees or Spark) that's is very annoying!  How can i buy a new iphone SE on its own, does anybody know?

Is this BS normal for Apple products in NZ? I was interested in the SE until I looked at the grossly inflated NZ price.

Add in GST, freight, handing etc gets it closer to the NZ price.

Darn expensive for a 4" cell phone.  You can do way better these days with an Android or windows Phone..
