Yes, they said I would get a call back within a few hours, but never did.

They've just released a newer version of 9.3 that doesn't have the bug.  Do a DFU restore with the new firmware.

Just restarted and tried activating again, and this time it has finally activated. So there was no need to do a DFU, which would have meant losing everything installed on it. It is back to how it was now prior to the update, but with ios 9.3 on it. So if anyone else has this problem , it is now possible to activate it without a full restore and DFU.

PoHq: An updated update has just been released which fixes this issue.

On a side note can you imagine any other platform pushing out a fix so quick. Over Easter weekend to!

Admittedly it shouldn't have been released but still. Swift quick response.

 

Easter weekend isn't a public holiday in the US.  Even tho the US is the most religious country I ever lived in, they have that whole separation of church and state so no public holidays at Easter
