Try copying photos on and off it without all this syncing nonsense. Or maybe loading on some mp3s without more how should I say it.. Syncing. Don't get me wrong the phone is generally pretty good and I use a Mac at work. But my god is it hard to do some simple tasks.

AirDrop for the photos. And who syncs MP3s in 2016? Just add them via Apple Music or Spotify..

You don't need syncing. It is DCIM compatible so you can copy photos off easily or use any decent photo management tool with camera photos importer. I use that often.

I also have iCloud Photos which is great and AirDrop between Mac and iOS.

I am constantly amused by the complaint about the price of the iPhone being so high, but the comparable flagship Samsung is the same price.

The Samsung offerings are less expensive eg Note 7 Samsung flag ship is $1599 , Apples flag ship the 7 plus is $1829.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

You said flagships, the Apple flagship is $1829, the Samsung flagship is $1599, the Huawei flagship is $1099.

So we should compare something expensive (because of specs) with something else less expensive (because of specs) and conclude that the less expensive is more value for money?!

</confused>

You get TWICE the storage on the iPhone vs the Samsung for $30. Thats a steal, if you ask me.

And lets not even mention the fact that the iPhone 6 actually blows the Note out of the water in performance... The iPhone 7 will really destroy it in speed tests.

1eStar: The answer is clear, I'd you drive a lowered matt black skyline, you choose matt black. If you drive a shiny black Mercedes, then piano black it is for you...

And if I drive a Toyota?

The maybe iPhone isn't for you...maybe a HTC?

 surprised

Well, at least with HTC you get a quality DAC and 3.5mm audio jack!

Flag ship = flag ship.

You could say the Apple is more costly as the screen resolution is not Quad HD on the 7 plus where the Samsung is Quad HD.

Back in the day there was $50 difference between a 16GB 4S and the Samsung equivalent with 16GB. Sure, Sammy drops prices in 2 months, but even so, there isn't much in it.

The real issue is $1600+ for a phone??? Geez.

Yes, but no two phones are identical. Anything HD on a teeny screen is fine. Samsung tend to have way faster CPU's as well, but as they don't use a custom SoC, they need to. Bottom line is how nice is the screen and how smooth is it? End of the day, they are both great and expensive

It amazes me how any purely iPhone discussion always end up an Apple vs Samsung debate!

I am Sorry about that and I didn't really want to hijack , I guess I have real problems with the price of some phones examples iPhone 7 + topping $1,800 and Note 7 near as dammit to $1,600 when the laptop I am posting this from (Dell i7 15" with 256 SSD) cost me less than $1,500.

Doesn't bother me, just making the comment. They are horrendously expensive, but they'll charge what the market is willing to pay. I'm hoping I might get $600 for my iPhone 6 128GB to soften the blow.

The annoyance for me is Apple moving from their standard 2 year cycle of big upgrade followed by little upgrade. By all accounts next years will be the one to get, and if I already had a 6S I wouldn't bother with the 7.
