Geektastic:Sure the 1TB Pro Max is expensive, but it doesn't sound like you are the target market (me neither). Filming in ProRes would be a main reason, and if you are doing that (in any commercial capacity) the iPhone would be very cost competitive with alternative camera and storage setups - and a lot more flexible etc. It isn't competing with a MacBook Air.
I tend to go to both ends in my deliberation - either the Mini or the Pro Max! Mind you the Pro Max hitting $3,000 for the 1TB version is getting ridiculous - I could buy a nice MB Air and have change for that much!
