My phone and watch bought directly from apple arrived in two different courier vans within 10 minutes of each other.

It is crazy though just how intense the logistics must be though. As others mentioned, Apple watch left Hong Kong LAST NIGHT, arrived in Sydney, flew to Auckland, and was able to be delivered today.

JB Hi Fi were true to their word. Shipment was accepted this morning via NZ Post and sat around all day at a depot with an expected delivery of Monday for an across town delivery. Don't know why they couldn't have lodged it yesterday for delivery on release date, especially if the telcos managed to deliver.

Spark used NZ Post as well and guess what, no delivery yesterday, no updates since Thursday night when tracking said it was processed in Auckland depot. When I spoke to NZ Post they said that it would never have been delivered yesterday as Spark had not paid for overnight delivery - Spark as bad as NZ Post as far as I’m concerned.

Work mate and I went with Spark, both stuck in Auckland with NZPost since Thursday night, delivery location is Chch. NZPost no longer shows the estimated delivery date.

I've got an unrelated (not iPhone) delivery I'm anxiously waiting for (signature required so I waited at home yesterday).
Sent from Auckland on Thursday afternoon with NZPost.
The estimated delivery date was yesterday, and tracking shows the last movement was checked in at Wiri Depot on Thursday evening.
I suspect its been caught up with the iPhone surge of deliveries.

Sold two old iPhones on Trademe. Booked courier on Thursday via NZPost Website.

They were both picked up on Thursday. Both delivered on Friday morning. One to Invercargill and one to Rangiora! Both from Mt Wellington in Auckland.

Interesting how there's no consistency!

So you paid for overnight delivery?

As others have said, Spark etc have not paid for overnight delivery, the economy delivery target is 3 working days. Why would NZ Post deliver overnight if the overnight service has not been selected or paid for. I dont think its a lack of consistency, but more NZ Post being consistent with the service paid for.

I did not pay for overnight delivery. I picked the next level down. 2-3 days I think it was.

I ordered a Watch from Spark at Commercial Bay on Thu lunch time. It was delivered to Spark Commercial Bay next day Fri early morning, they rang me to tell me it had arrived, plus the NZPost track & trace showed the delivery too. I picked it up before lunchtime. Setup was a seamless easy process, as the sales guy had disconnected my existing wearables plan on my old series 5 watch when I ordered and created a new one for the series 10 watch as part of the order.

Loving the 46mm screen.

Update, After being told i'd receive my phone on the 30th, after spending 3 hours yesterday waiting, i was told it was now on backorder with no further information, so kudos for 2 degrees being terrible, don't expect your phones any time soon

macka04:

after spending 108 minutes on hold with 2 degrees today, as of 12:51pm 20/9 i was told that i'd recieve my track and trace email next week, and expect my phone on the 30th, i pre ordered the phone 16 pro max on day one, safe to say i didn't expect to have to wait this long, thought i'd recieve it today, hope this helps

Circling back to these replies (thank you geektributors!), I can confirm, with no surprises to the IYKYK crowd, that Apple did indeed come through on launch day as promised. One minor (but perhaps somewhat interesting to some) caveat is that my first tracking info update came on the morning of the 20th, showing that it had entered the NZ delivery system the day before and had been shipped from Sydney the day before.

Not sure why the delay in updating the logistics/shipping data for the recipient, but it’s pretty irrelevant since it was delivered on time and in good order.

Loving the 16PM by the way. The upgrades in the 120hz display and in the camera from my previous 12PM are remarkable as far as I’m concerned.

The absolute lack of communication or acknowledgement from 2degrees has been nothing short of terrible here.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to get the $500 discount and ability to spread the cost of my phone over my plan.

However, zero communication has just been bad bad bad.

Nothing from One either, and no luck when calling. They know nothing. Pro Max 512.

yeah not entirely sure, every other pre-order has been great and arrived when told, but 2 degrees can't even answer a phone call or multiple messages, will be calling them shortly to see what's happening, i ordered 4 minutes into presale and said i'd get it today
