UrbanGrafix: I guess the 850mhz could use more power (I dont know anything about the networks usage etc) I am just saying it could be possible that it uses more than Vodafones 2100mhz network.
Newguy:
My screen brightness has been at about 90% should i try it down a bit?
Should that increase the battery life?
mattbush: I found this on the many many many complaints on apple.com forums.
Going to try it tomorrow.
FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO SOLVE YOUR BATTERY PROBLEMS FOR IPHONE 3GS. There is a 70% CHANCE THIS WILL SOLVE IT. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL LOSE DATA BY DOING THIS SO BACK IT UP. BE WARNED. THIS MIGHT NOT HELP IF YOU HAVE A HARDWARE BATTERY ISSUE.
1. Drain your iPhone battery.
2. conect your iPhone to PC/MAC and SYNC your iPhone pics, contacts, email, songs, videos, etc. to keep them backed up. DO NOT USE THE BACKUP FEATURE ON ITUNES.
3. connect your iPhone to wall charger with USB CABLE and go to your iPhone Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase all content and settings.
4. wait for it to reset, this might take over 1-2 hours depending on how much data you got.
5. Once reset is done immediatelly connect iPhone to MAC/PC and run iTunes. Perform RESTORE.
6. When restore is done make sure to SET-UP iPhone as a NEW phone. DO NOT USE RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!
7. wait untill your iPhone is fully 100% charged. Then test the battery. It should be all good now. If not then your battery needs replacement.
