I won't get my hopes up but... I asked the insurance company and they said they basically hand over an amount of money to Noel Lemming and that I will be able to discuss upgrade options providing I pay the difference. Hoping this will lead to a brand new iPhone 4!
But oddly Noel Lemming doesn't seem to be showing any iPhones on their website
Thanks for the tips guys!

Apple wont allow the iPhone on the Noel Leeming website as only a few shops are allowed to stock it, and having it on the website could mean anyone could purchase off it. Call your local Noel Leeming and see who the closest stockist is?

Also just dont go into the Noel Leeming branch till the iPhone 4 is released and ask to upgrade the claim? You may have to pay the difference in cost?

Yea. That's what Ill be doing. Talked to them on saturday and they said that I basically have $900 credit providing I pay my $250 excess. So I could buy an iPad or something, but I'll was told they were highly likely to sell the iPhone 4. So hopefully they will!
Cheers for the advice. :)

porche20002: Well the insurance said Noel Leeming would handle the replacement so hopefully they might order in the iPhone 4 but who knows these days. They could be suspicious it got 'stolen' so I could upgrade. Too bad they don't give out cash anymore. Would make life a lot easier. Has anyone else been in this situation? Any tips?

It depends on what is in stock.  I broke a Treo a few years back and it was replaced with a later model which had bluetooth and few other new features.  It was still a crap phone, just now it had bluetooth.

Good luck getting the new one....

Does anyone know what stores will be selling this outright? Or is it just going to be vodafone initially? Magnum mac perhaps?
