littleheaven: I'm so pleased I won't have to sit around all day stressing about the courier. First stop when I arrive at work - mail room. I don't start until 10.30 though so still a wee wait. Super impressed with how early they're getting them out.

Sounds like you have a reason to go into work early... :P

My CourierPost delivery status is now "We have your item at our depot, it is waiting on your couriers next visit to your area. Note in a residential area this may be the next working day."

I'm guessing they attempted to deliver to my apartment building pre-8AM (which means no building manager to sign for it). Wonder if I can collect from the depot?

Computerworld reports that the phone can be bought standalone. Is this true?

They probably mean from apple.com

Yep, I'd assume the same, buy outright from Apple. Got an email from dick smith regarding "walk-in" availability in 3 stores with no explicit reference to a carrier contract but I'd still guess there's a telco lurking in the background somewhere...

Give them a call - they may allow pickup or you might be able to arrange a weekend delivery so at least you don't have to wait until Monday.

The courier just dropped it off then - time to open up and setup it up then hope that the case fits lol.

Edit: The Bookbook case that I bought fits perfectly :D

ZollyMonsta: Mine hasnt arrived in NZ as far as i can tell. No updare to the status on the DHL site.

:-(

Plug that same tracking number into the CourierPost site, and I think you'll feel much better about life.

I tried that. 'Ticket not found'

I had the same problem but mine has since arrived. Central Auckland and I think it was delivered by DHL rather than being handed over to Courier Post. First impression - Force Touch is very odd.

Ordered a 6S 64GB Space Grey at 7:45pm on the Saturday, it is with Courier now in Chch. I’m at work so relying on the courier to push my Ring doorbell (ring.com) so I can tell them to leave it at the door.

Home now! Wow that was fun. So many cameras and people asking questions. Was on Breakfast or something when they done the live weather report thingy which was absolutely terrifying.
I think I unboxed the damn phone a good half dozen times, "Do it slower" "hold it a bit closer to your face" "Can you close the box" etc. But worth it because now I can relive the unboxing when I find the video of it :P

// some photographer (unsure for who) taking tonnesssssss of photos, was more than happy for me to take one of her doing that xD

// TVNZ staff were doing the Breakfast morning weather update inside and outside the store and interviewed me shortly after. I thought they finished because he wasn't talking, but nope. The presenters were talking to him through an earpiece and I must have looked so spethal.

No actual breakfast tho :( think I was too early.

The new phone, omg. So amazing. The 3D touch is really cool but super happy to not be dealing with the constant "Out of storage" popups now!
