I'll be getting one.

The increase in memory is the main driver for me - plus I try to upgrade every couple of years because I like the capacity a "fresh"  battery gives me.

My only concern is the "Apple SIM" and any potential issues this will have with my preferred cellular operator.

I might have to do some homework first....

Walked into Noel Leeming on Queen St Auckland this morning to see on the (extreme) off chance that they had any idea when the new iPads would be instore.  "Around Xmas or early in the New Year" I was told...

Ok so I don't expect them to know everything about every product, but they should at least have a general awareness of their high profile products surely?

I pre-registered out of interest as I placed an order online just after they went live on Saturday morning.  I'm seeing reports of Australians receiving shipping notices and tracking numbers now (and some ordered well after I did), with delivery due tomorrow.  Mine has been stuck on "Processing Order" since Saturday morning.  I guess we are further down the queue here in NZ :-)

Did you get a cellular version? It looks like the wifi only models are shipping now and those of us who ordered ones with LTE are still waiting.

That's certainly what it looks like from over at the MacRumors forum.

I get that. It tells me that they are stretched for production and I expect the wifi models are more popular. MR said they held up the 12.9 iPad for the 6 Plus

Ordered black 64 GB wifi + cell directly from Apple yesterday (Tuesday) morning. Not shipped yet but delivery showing as this Friday or Monday - but I'll believe it when I see it.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Placed my order for an Ipad Air2 128gb cellular.

I had to stop and think about why I wanted to upgrade from my perfect Ipad4 but it is a little bit of keeping ahead, the ipad4 will be an old device is about 18 months, where the Ipad Air2 will still be quite fresh.

Well that's my story and I am sticking to it!

Next I..... I mean AppleWatch, just wish they'd hurry up and release it already!

Ordered the 128GB Wifi/LTE model first thing on Saturday morning. It is being prepared for shipping as I type so should ship today...ETA is 24-28 October which is pretty good. Current iPad is an iPad 3, still running fine, but iOS8 isn't the greatest upgrade I've seen from Apple (works fine on wife's iPad Mini 2) - but on mine, it does make a few of the apps sluggish, and response from the touch display is a bit laggy with some apps. So this should be a good upgrade for me.

Would be nice to get them for the weekend, do you like our odds?
