Finch:
Anyone got the NZ prices?
Thanks!
Edit: Crikey, starting at $1349 for the Mini (64GB) - Plus I'd have to buy a charger. Lol
all pricing and release dates/times are on the Apple site
So wonder how long it will take for CPU comparisons between the a13 and a14 chips. No touch ID means I might upgrade from iphone 7 to SE2.

The mini isn’t a budget device or a spec compromise like the SE is. It’s the exact same features and specs as the 12 just in a smaller form factor. Hence why it’s so expensive.
Another thing missing is 120Hz display, but in saying that rumour sites say Apple was working on it but were not 100% happy with the results to date hence left it out.
mmWave 5G is limited to the states I see. I wonder if it's just a firmware/software update to enable if other countries get mmWave in the future or if they have different radio chips in them.

I can't believe that in this day and age, they are starting at 64gb still...the absolute minimum nowadays should be 128gb - even when everyone theoretically has cloud storage.
Apps are getting huge, photo and video files are already large and you'd burn through 64gb very quickly, I feel.
I have only used 27Gb on mine, so 64Gb might be enough for some people.

76 here, but I could proably get that down to 64 if I had to....I've got every single photo still that I know are all backed up on my server at home, just chewing space.

If I understand correctly then one of the new features is for it to be able to take "RAW" photos which will chew up a bit of space
Again I am very disappointed there is no new TV 6th gen box. Just can not understand the delay particularly since the code names have been appearing in the iOS all year (Neptune T1125). Plus that the HomePod's are not being sold here. ☹️
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.
m1dday: Confused why Apple wanted to go with 12 when this feels more of a S year at most. But looking good in general - the Mini is very intriguing!
Very far from an 'S' year IMO, the A14 is 5nm, not a small upgrade...

Plus they have now got a 5G offering,
sure it might feel a bit muddled with all the whole regular/mini/pro.... but there is a fairly big jump here.

Exactly. They have 5G which is what a lot of Americans have been asking for - Apple to catch up with their competitors - and since they have a decent 5G footprint. We may not have as much of a footprint as we like here in little old NZ, But it is evident that in the coming months and years the footprint will begin to grow exponentially.

roderickh:DjShadow:Other thing to watch is the new iPhone comes with a USB-C to Lightning cable so need to think about upgrading your charger if you want quick charging.
At least now if you buy an iphone you can plug it into your macbook!
Interesting decision around this, majority of customers won't have a USB C brick and most likely will end up buying one........ which negates their carbon neutral stance.
