Behodar:
martin308: Thats the whole day events appearing the day before bug?

I think thats been registered for a while so im not holding my breath :(

Yeah, that's the one. Birthdays in the address book are a day off too. I wasn't the first person to report it but I can only see my own reports so I don't know the progress of the other reports.

A few years ago I used to use Plaxo to sync Outlook with web and also with Mac iCal.

Plaxo used to creep... the birthdays along every now and then.  Was not sure if it was the translation of an all day event in outlook interpreted as 12am -12am in Sydney and then when in NZ it was 2am -2am (over two days) and vice versa.  It then kept getting an additional day and moving along.  Had this issue with my WindowsMobile and would span birthdays over multiple days.

I have some dates that have crept +4 days after establishing multiple sync points.

martin308, from that list, unified inbox is the main thing for me that I would like to see released.
However not sure what contact convergence refers to in this context.

MattD: Wish list

- Spotlight search across various doc types, contacts, emails
- Copy & Paste
- Background Tasks
- Consolidated view of all email inboxes (rather than having to enter each of 5 mail accounts)
- Selected Calendar Sync (choose which calendars sync), Choose which calendars display (eg 3 of 7)
- Tethered Internet Connection
- Bluetooth and Wifi Sync
- Landscape Keyboard (universal)
- Ability to send multiple photos
- True timezone support for Calendar entries

edit: not sure what it is in GZ and Safari that it removes the carriage returns.

Happens with me as well. Safari 4 on Mac.

The only work around I have found is to insert additional carriage returns to get a new line.
eg
2 CRs (blank line) gives me next line

3 CRs (2 blank lines) gives me a blank line

Not sure, just copied off the iphone blog website! :)

I think from reading about the pre that contact convergance is where the phone knows that peoples identitys are located on various services eg. facebook, twitter, email, phone number, linkedin etc. and can identify this and aggregate info about them from various sources :S not sure though

The 'unified messengering app' mentioned is probably something like BeeJive or those IM aggregators.

I believe the 'contact convergence' is just a fancy term for either: (a) the ability to add contacts from any app (if the phone recognizes a 'contact' record; or (b) the added ability to send and receive contact cards (like most phones do nowadays).

I could be wrong on both, though.

Looks like 3.0 also includes new MobileMe service called "Find My iPhone" to help locate the iPhone if lost or stolen...
might also be a way your significant other may have of keeping tabs on you Surprised

For the 'Find My iPhone' bit? Sorry to break it to you, but it does. That's why it's in the MobileMe section of settings, not General.

I think that it will require MobileMe based upon the screen text
"this enables the "Find my iPhone" service on your MobileMe account at me.com"
also the prefs are set in the MobileMe section
