What shambles?
Nothing to see here.
Move along please.

Have you not noticed the issues around the release of the phone and vodafones handling?

Sorry should have used a tongue-in-cheek emoticon or added a picture of a policemanWink.

I don't understand why so much fuss about this. I mean you will be able to purchase the handset from Apple's site directly. So why even worry about Vodafone?

I heard that the Vodafone team were meeting with Apple's staff and someone from Vodafone called Steve Jobs their "friend".

Steve: Don't call me friend, buddy.
Vodafone staff member: Don't call me buddy, pal.

It went on for a while - something like this:

Now the love is gone.

I got told that Vodafone employees were to packup all the iPhone 4 setup and all phones were on embargo.. Maybe Apple intend to make the iPhone available on tomorrow through them not retailers.

Because Vodafone are the suppliers for Magnum Mac and all the retailers.. So if Vodafone is out of the picture then no-one gets stock.

Renaissance dont handle the iPhone products as far as i'm aware.

because if you purchse from VF you get subsidy on the handset (depending on which plan you sign up with)

mattbush: Maybe Vodafone dont want to sell a defective phone with our consumer laws.
hahahahahahahahahahahahaha... you sir a very funny man.

Well..it is defective....and we all know that the NZ coverage outside the main centres is a bit up and down..so with an antenna issue it would just make it worse. To be honest I cant believe all this drama about a defective phone...there are plenty of cheaper phones out there now that perform at least as well.

Do you really think that VF (or any other Telco for that matter) wouldn't have had a device or 2 in country for testing.....

Because you can buy subsidised phones from Vodafone.

Only if you sign your soul away.. with the upcoming changes in MTR's, now's not the time to sign a contract!

You cant go on most plans from vodafone without getting a term, so you may as well get some cash off an overpriced handset at the same time.
