That's enough entertainment for me tonight.

Thanks for removing the Ads Mauricio, it made following this thread for the evening quite enjoyable.

Will check thread later if I wake up in the night. On my android phone...

yep - getting locked into a contract when (telco) market pricing is changing is maybe not such a good idea - - -

Wipeout: I don't understand why so much fuss about this. I mean you will be able to purchase the handset from Apple's site directly. So why even worry about Vodafone?

because if you purchse from VF you get subsidy on the handset (depending on which plan you sign up with)

Only if you sign your soul away.. with the upcoming changes in MTR's, now's not the time to sign a contract!
Exactly! For two years you will be locked into a plan, which let's face it is less than average. In the mean time some other carriers are likely to bring out better iPhone plans.

Oh and @ mattbush, no offence bud, but you sound very naive. By large most MNC's couldn't care less about their consumers.

Anyway, I am still going into Auckland City tomorrow to see if there are any places that sell them... Vodafone or no Vodafone!

Am not fussed just like many others who signed two year contracts with VF for the iPhone 3G back in 2008.

Hey guys first post!
i have taken the day off work tomorow, so am hoping as much as everyone else the iphone 4 goes on sale tomorow. As of the moment what do you think the better chance of getting one from is, Magnum Mac Newmarket VS Vodafone Queen ST?

Everyone's talking about being locked in for 24 months.

It's not as bad as it sounds. The break out from the contract between 12-24 months is only $200. Not bad to be honest given the subsidy being offered at the outset.

Well worth it. Do the sums people. You are supposed to be geeks. Open Excel and let the facts surprise you.

I would say if Vodafone do sell them tomorrow then it will be to on account only like the 3GS last year, but would recommend reading updates online before heading anywhere

mattbush: Maybe Vodafone dont want to sell a defective phone with our consumer laws.
hahahahahahahahahahahahaha... you sir a very funny man.

Well..it is defective....and we all know that the NZ coverage outside the main centres is a bit up and down..so with an antenna issue it would just make it worse. To be honest I cant believe all this drama about a defective phone...there are plenty of cheaper phones out there now that perform at least as well.

Do you really think that VF (or any other Telco for that matter) wouldn't have had a device or 2 in country for testing.....

They have been in testing for a fair bit in NZ :)
