The 3G version of iPhone may go to Vodafone! So we might see the iPhone in NZ after all! :D Can't wait!

Rumors have it that o2 has a 5yr exclusive contract on the iphone which is the same as AT&T. I'm sure they would have ensured that this covered future 3G models and that they wouldn't be stuck with the same old model for 5 years..

The rumour I hear is that Apple's contract is for this model. Any new model involves a new contract negotiation.

If this is the case you really have to wonder about the intelligence of some of the people at o2 and t-mobile. They are so desperate for the initial iPhone rush they're completely ignoring the fact their 5yr exclusive contract will be meaningless when they're stuck with an technically obsolete handset.
