I'm looking at getting one but would like an armband for running. I can't find any in the NZ market. Does anyone have an armband for there X?

I got one this morning, Spark Queensgate had a good stock shipment come in so no waiting.

I tried calling my parents on the way to work to test the call qual and signal (handsfree via Apple Carplay), I had 2 areas where my old iphone 7 plus would hold signal fine yet the iPhone X dropped the call.

Using Spark, it is possible the phone just has a smaller antenna?

Did you buy on contract or outright? I'm wanting to get one this week but no one seems to be selling them outright yet as they are holding their stock for people to lock into contracts.

I brought mine on 24 months interest free so not locked in or anything apart from needing to pay off the handset in full if I leave Spark.

I also had a call yesterday from JB Hifi in Queensgate who have received a good shipment so looks like the stock is becoming pretty common now.

So you can break contract by just paying for the phone? I'm with Spark and wouldn't be leaving anytime soon but my issue with the contracts is next year when they add data / extras I dislike being locked in and unable to choose to change.

I'm with Spark also, so yes I can buy the phone outright technically if I paid off the interest free period.

Great thanks, guess I'll go speak to the JB guys in Welly today as I buy all my stuff off them anyways.

Why not just buy from Apple - as I did - not locked into anything.

JB Hifi give a 2 year warranty on electronics and as I buy virtually everything through them they are pretty good at giving me discounts for stuff that they can discount (i.e. not apple stuff..).

However, turns out Spark now offer 2 years also and were willing to sell outright whereas JB are holding their stock for contracts so Spark won this time.

The new phone migration process is pretty smooth for most things, however reregistering all your MFA services is tedious!

Just got one this morning, after selling my iPhone 7 Plus.

So far also impressed with the display.

Not so impressed with Face ID, mainly due to me having a lazy eye.

I can't use the Attention feature because it thinks I'm not looking at it! :)

Works fine without it though.

It's great to have smaller physical device now too really losing anything in the display itself.

Haven't missed the Home button at all.

@CYaBro I just tried, and Face ID unlocks for me when I have one eye closed (I have the attention feature enabled).

EDIT: Or am I misunderstanding what a lazy eye is?

Yea I can do it with one eye closed as well.
But if a pain having to do that every time though. :)
If I have both eyes open then it doesn’t like it as my left eye is looking off to the side.

Oh right. I thought a lazy eye was one eye not open as much as the other.
