Does anyone know if there are plans to integrate any of the local apps (TVNZ, Three, Sky etc) in to the Apple TV app?

Last I looked into, no. The Apple TV app promises to be a great aggregator of content from multiple sources but it requires the media providers to opt in. To be honest I cant see many free to air content providers opting in as they want you to be interacting with their own app to maximise advertising potential. Lightbox or Neon might be candidates in the future but I'd expect TVNZ, Three etc.. to remain out.

I purchased an Apple TV 4K yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to find the TVNZ and 3 Now apps along with Spark Sport, Lightbox and others. Works a treat.

Rather than start a new thread I thought i would hijack this one.

Ive just set up homekit for a new front door lock ( Yale Assure) and my Arlo cameras so looking at the 4K apple TV to use as a hub instead of my ipad. It will also replace my 7 year old roku player ( use for BBC ITV and C4). I see they come in 32Gb and 64GB. As it is a streaming box does the memory storage size make a big difference?

Given that it's an Apple device you obviously can't expand the memory.

I would imagine that if you're going to try storing iTunes movie purchases locally on the device and install lots apps or Apple Arcade games that you would hit the buffers fairly quickly.

If it's purely just for installing streaming apps then 32GB would be fine.

I have the 32Gb ATV 4K and I;ve never encountered a need for more storage than that. Nothing is store on the device other than the OS and the Apps. I reckon the 64Gb would only be necessary for those wanting to play games as the game app sizes could be much larger than media apps but to be honest there are better alternatives for games like the Sheild TV.

Unless you are going to download a lot of content, the 32Gb is all that you need

I don't even know if you can download content......surely it's just used for apps.  I have a 32gb one as well, and never encountered any space issues.

I've had a 32GB Apple TV 4th gen pretty much since they became available for sale and never had an issue with storage.
Unless you're going to want to load it up with tons of different games at the same time it's not an issue.
But ours has quite a few different apps and plenty of games on it plus all of the Apple screensavers.

You can’t download movies etc straight to the ATV. It’s purely storage for the OS and apps. I have 32gb and it’s more than enough.

Isn't there an SVOD app that allows you to download content for later? cant recall, may have been SkySportNow?
