chiefie: Actually thinking more and more so... with iOS 9 App Thinning, and the reduced monthly subscription of iCloud Storage plans, I think 16GB would be sufficient - I've been using 16GB iPhone 5, and with 20GB iCloud Storage for Photos and Backups etc... I've taken the hard and fast discipline on keeping what really matter to me with me and not every little things. So I think it is possible to get along just fine with 16GB.

I have a 64GB 6 Plus and have only used a fraction of the storage. I have  photos set to go to One Drive (1TB) and I delete them off my phone on a regular basis.  I also think  16GB is probably enough.

not enough when you're on a 1 week holiday in the middle of nowhere :) ....

Any news on the rules around launch day here in NZ? The fiasco for the 6 has almost put me off ordering from Spark this year, kind of considering buying direct from Apple.

I'm keen to sign up for open term with deferred payment but contract is out of the question. Keen on the 6S+ in that rose gold but that price is gonna sting a little bit!

I think day-one pre-order is most likely from Apple directly - date mentioned in Apple's website.

Yeah I don't think I'll be upgrading from iPhone 6 Plus 128GB.

I paid $1450 for mine, they increased the price later to $1599 which was fair given how bad NZD was, didn't think they'll increase it by another $200. $1799 for 6s Plus 128GB feels like daylight robbery to me.

Krishant007: Is it me, or are the phones heavier as well now. I am still semi keen on the 6s+ 64gb. That price is quite high. But the weight of the phone is also a concern now. Where did all that weight come from!

Why are people so obsessed with the weight these days??  I would rather have a heavier phone with a bigger battery rather  that a feather weight device with a low capacity one..

How are  you going to show 4K video on your 4K TV??  Not with the new Apple TV and it's a complete waste  viewing it on a phone screen..

Oh i would be perfectly fine if the weight came from the battery - but the size of the phones seems to be the same (maybe a bit bigger - 0.1mm or so and the weight has increase by a sizeable amount (20g and 14g). This weight is not from the battery.

Totally... phones these days aren't that heavy compare to yesteryears...

It won't even break your wrist - if it does, you best do more wrist strengthening... ;-)

I've just realised my current phone (a 5) is only 64GB, and I'm only using just over half of it. My photos automatically back up to my Mac (and from there to several other backup solutions) so I don't need to keep masses on the phone, and most of my music is streaming now. It's really just the apps taking up space. I was going to get a 128GB rose gold but now I think I'll stick with 64GB. If I get extra storage it'd be on my next iPad, which I have way more stuff on.

My second hand 4 still works, and fits in my car. I think I can get another couple of years out of it.

Behodar: Yikes! Even the 64 GB 6S is $1399... that's more than the 64 GB 6 was (I think it was $1249).

To be honest I was expcecting it to be worst than that.

NZD was 80c USD a year ago, today its 64c, thats a 20% fall,  the price increase is only 12%...

But the price also increased in between releases.

iPhone 6 128GB on release was $1299, iPhone 6S 128GB is $1599. That's a 23% increase if comparing to a year ago.
