With regards to NZ prices, the lowered price of the old 3G to $99 is heavily subsidised by contract, so not a good indicator of price. However, It is advertised as "$299 for ineligible upgraders" which would indicate to me the price for people breaking contracts, ie the non subsidised price. Hence in NZ the old 3G 'phone only' price could be expected to drop to the NZ equivalent of this. $299USD = $484 NZD (round to $500).

So we should see the price of the 8GB drop from Vodafone’s current $969 to $500. Seem reasonable?

I don't think it will drop that much, maybe to $600 or $700

Telecom NZ AWOL

This slide is from before the new phone was actually announced so could it possibly be just a list of the current providers of the iPhone 3G, rather than who will also be selling the iPhone 3GS?

Slide was displayed when talking about which carrier partners will be supporting MMS from launch (29 listed)

Soo does it mean no Telecom?
I assume not, as Telstra is there indicating that this will be when the new phone comes to Nz/Aus

Maybe not, but one of the most downloaded apps is a tool that lets it zoom
