steve98: Voda just announced 3GB of data + 1000pxts free for 3 months for any iPhone running 3.0 on an iPhone plan. Your move, Telecom!

So that would explain why I had 3072MB of Anytime MBs remaining when I logged in to My Vodafone this morning!

yep would love to be pleasantly suprised by telecom
cheaper buy outright price, and better availability (might actually be able to get my hands on one on the 10th)
but i don't think its going to happen.. wouldn't it be smarter to build anticipation rather then announce last minute
then again they only announced the Go Large 2 plans mid this week, which launches next Tues
gah who knows
ill stop talking s**t now

Hmmm i do wonder if Telecom will release on the same day if they get it to?

As it would be a small piss of to get released by voda i buy one outright to use on Telecoms network and then a week later they start selling them with good plans etc?

I'd say if telecom do get it they will release on the same day?

That is one question I really want to know the answer too as well Newguy. I fully intend to buy the iPhone 3GS, but I would prefer to get it on Telecoms network. However, unless there is some news of a immanent release, I will most likely end up buying it on Vodafone.

Anyone have any idea how long Telecom would wait, if they are going to wait? Perhaps a week or so after Vodafone releases their plans perhaps?

The best commercial outcome for them would be to launch it at the same time as Vodafone so that they can cash in on the initial hype, but the terms between Apple and the telcos would be under tight NDAs so it's unlikely that anyone will be able to give a firm answer to your question.

Ah, gotcha. But that does answer most of my question, ie that if Telecom does release it, it will be simultaniously, so I shouldn't have to wait a few days, to make sure.

I may do that anyway, just in case.

I plan on buying one but again like others I am waiting to see:
1) If Telecom are going to offer it
2) What handset subsidies are available
3) What plan rates are like

I've always been a Voda supporter, but I'm starting to FINALLY seriously consider Telecom as an alternative...

The only other thing on my mind is being locked into a contract on either Telecom or Voda before the 2 Degrees network comes into action next month.

I don't really need it right here right now, so I suppose I can wait...
I just don't want to :(
