Telecom just posted on their FB the iPhone 5 is available on a Open Term plan ..

Open SmartPhone - No term plan

Does that mean, I can take one and cancel that plan in one month? and use the phone on my own ?

Yep, just 'signed up' for the $29 plan. Thanks for the tip off guys.

"Do you want to port your number?"
"No thanks"

Will cancel the plan and keep choogling on my current plan.

Karmic retribution though as I am a victim of scuffing.

Not even going to bother trying to take a photo of them as I don't think my 3GS camera will be able to pick them up.

Telecom is couriering another one in for me to swap over to tomorrow. If it was going to be longer I'd probably just tell them not to bother.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

I also am off to telecom in a minute! Just rang them and they have what I want in stock. After a month I can do what I like! Exciting!

Rosie - Can you try asking them if we can buy outright by paying the one month plan in excess to the RRP? instead of signing up and signing off .. :)

It will get them anyway from usage based on what I have seen. If you have had an ipod, scratches are normal. Put it in a case and you won't see them.
