Not sure if anyone noticed but Waze now works with CarPlay!

@michaelmurfy thanks for heads up! Looks better than Google Maps. :D Time to resurrect my Waze account... I haven't used Waze ever since moving to NZ... not a lot of people who use it here

I stopped using it when I came here also due to lack of a community using it. Was very popular in Europe with an active user group keeping everything up to date.

updated missus' iphone 8 plus to ios 12. don't see any obvious differences. i'm sure there are a lot of non obvious ones.

1. no new camera/photo features.

2. is it possible to get the camera to take videos at lower framerate when it is low light? it wants to take videos at 60fps all the time making lower light videos very dark.

I had a splash screen saying "Whats new in photos" when I first opened it, I never read it but I am sure they added another way to jumble your photos even more.

You should be able to drop down to record at 30fps via 'settings' -> 'camera'

Otherwise there are some other video capture apps which give you all sorts of controls for frame rates and white balance, etc, etc (I use FilmicPro).

Similarly I use Camera+ which gives a lot more control over the way you use your snapper on the phone.

I would too, i have 10 apps for the camera. But my wife doesn't adjust anything or change apps.

Just point and shoot. Apparently the new XS phones will record video at lower frame rates automatically in lower light.

But I guess they can't do that with the iPhone 8 plus coz they can't.

Remember its a new file system so will take a few days to re-index and sort all the bits into the right fast access spots
