AirTags and TV 32Gb & 64Gb are back in the AirPoints Store and can be bought. Free delivery.  HomePod mini is still not in store.

Ordered the TV 64Gb, $329 AirPoints with 2 to 3 weeks free delivery (partner wanted that size)

Now we wait to see if my 18 month patience has been worth it.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Apple have announced that their music streaming service Apple Music is upgrading to high resolution audio at no extra cost to subscribers. Dolby Atmos music will also be available.

I listened to John Lennon's album "Gimme Some Truth" on my Atmos capable Home Cinema set up and it sounded absolutely amazing. My friend and I were lamenting that there weren't many available titles on disc, and also, any that were, were too expensive (my friend paid $138 for the Atmos set). Now I will be able to listen to thousands of songs for my yearly subscription (saves $31 on monthly sub.) through my Apple TV 4K connection.

My new Apple TV 4K is now in the hands of the DHL courier service in Christchurch, after making its journey from Sydney. Official release day is Tuesday May 25. Its unlikely that I will receive it before then, but not long to wait.

EDIT: It just arrived today! 🙂

Today is retail drop day from what I have seen, I was just going to pick one up at a store.

Looks like HN & JB has sold out already. ( or stock has not arrived )

NL has a few, not many at Westgate.

PBT has not stock but they have an astounding price.

The pb tech one is normal price - it's the 1080p version not the updated 4k one.

The pb tech one is normal price - it's the 1080p version not the updated 4k one.

Mine arrived today. Happy to upgrade the old regular Apple TV4 that I have had for 5 years.

Ready for 4K now. Tried the colour setup when setting it up, and according to Apple my TV is already set up well. Nice to know.

I received an email from Apple advising that it'll take one extra business day to receive my order. I guess they ran out of time to drive to the outer boundary of their delivery area. I've waited this long..

Just getting around to using the remote. It’s pretty obvious that the mute and pause/play button need to be around the other way. Clearly Apple didn’t do any market research.

Anybody read the review of the new model on Stuff? The guy keeps banging on about how amazing the Spatial Audio sounds……. How do you call yourself a tech reviewer when you’re praising a feature that doesn’t even exist?

Spatial audio is a thing, just not on the Apple TV.
