Any good trade-in recommendations for older iPhones? Looks like the big 3 will only do a trade-in if you are on a plan, I'm on Kogan mobile so no interest in changing or best to take a chance on Trademe/FB Marketplace?

Currently on a 14 Pro Max - not a lot to justify upgrading to the 15 Pro max.
Annoyingly - only the US models have the mmWave bands... they're starting to deploy mmWave sites in AU so it would be good to leverage them.

I think you'll be best to sell on TM or the Wild West of FB Marketplace.

Wow, just received a SMS from One NZ. You can now save $600 on interest free (24 or 36 months), up from the $400 they were initially offering, and they're even applying it to folks who already had orders in place (including me).

Thanks, One! 😎

What's the minimum plan requirement for that?

Well, to sell us a change to USB-C forced by the EU as an "innovation", whereas this was always called an innovation blockade? And its full speed is only available on the most expensive models. Marketing logic. 😉

So does that mean that you are just committing to your existing plan for a further 24 months and, if you change to another provider before the end of that term, then you just pay the $600 back?

Yes, and yes (I assume). Though maybe the pay-back amount reduces over time? I haven't read the small print because I'm more than happy on the One Plan, so no plans to move elsewhere.

Wow, that's a pretty good deal, however I have my plan, plus two "Team up" plans hanging of that account, and three LTE Apple Watches all connected through those accounts, and as yet...I don't think One.nz can accomodate people with needs such as this. So not an option at the moment, but I'll keep my eye out. If Spark matches the $600 then that could tempt me to upgrade.

(and the first one to implement Family sharing for the Watches has my business...the whole point of that was to allow a child to have a connected device without needing an iPhone - on it's own qualifying plan - associated with their Watch. Available in Australia and elsewhere, sadly not in NZ yet)

I wonder if Spark will do that to match?

Wonder how much the iPhone 15 Pro Max will depreciate next year when the 16 is out.

$500? $600?
