Man i hope so, first time buying Apple pre-order or online so I shit myself when the debit has dropped off and all the funds are available in my account again.  I'm also dubious ill get it on Friday even though the order status is on 'preparing to ship' for then.  I also ordered a 20W USB-C Power adapter with the phone and that has already shipped but has an arrival time of 27-29th so maybe I'll get it phone then too 🤷‍♂️

Every year this happens like clock work. Apple send out the tracking information the night before (usually after 6pm)

When I got my iPhone XS Max pre-order in 2018, I didn't get the shipping notification till the night before release day

Even then, from memory the package was already in NZ by the time they emailed to say it was shipped.

So I wouldn't sweat it..

^^^ exactly.

That debit thing happens every year for me. They put a hold on my card, then put the money back, then take it again. if you order says "arrives 24th", then it will arrive 24th.

I'm actually taking a different tact - I'll trade in my old Galaxy S7 sitting in a draw for $651 (Inc bonus) - which is only worth maybe. $100-150 on TM. So say bonus $500.

Then I'll just sell my wife's XS Max on TM for $700ish compared to 2D offer $1029 inc bonus.

Sounds complicated but hopefully it works out to getting about $1200 towards the new handset.

How on earth is 2D profitting off offering $600 on basically any working phone? This reminds me of the crazy Samsung trade in values of American customers, but I've never seen it be offered for iPhones ever.

EDIT: Found it in T&C:

iPhone 13 range Pre-order offer:

New Pay Monthly/Business customers only on a $60+ Pay Monthly Plan or $58+ Business Choice Plan when you buy interest free and Trade In. $600 repayable if you end your eligible plan within 12 months. Trade in on selected smart phones only.

I mean, even staying with 2D for 12 months seems worth it.

Ordered mine through Vodafone on Saturday morning as Apple direct stock was already gone - is anyone here privy to when they are expecting their stock and what sort of levels they have? I assumed since they were accepting pre-orders that they had some stock allocated for the initial delivery and would show some kind of stock notification if they didn't, but have since received a txt saying the order is 'held' until stock is allocated. Wondering if that means it'll be sometime soon (if not necessarily Friday) or will it not be until late October which is when Apple is suggesting next shipments would arrive?

I placed an order on Sunday afternoon with Vodafone. Got the same text on Tuesday. Got another email this morning saying my order has been processed and I will receive another email when my items are ready to be collected. I also received a text saying my number was to be ported over to Vodafone.

If I were to guess realistically: Vodafone will be shipping me my new SIM card first, and then the phone in late October.

Anybody else with their own experience/knowledge, please let us know.

I think I got my order through at about 12:20 after their website finished having a meltdown 😁

Update: Just received email from Vodafone saying my order has been dispatched. Might be arriving tomorrow after all. I thought I missed out on the early batch.

GSManiac: If Apple says you’ll get it Friday 24th, then you will. They’ve never been late for me yet.

That’s absolutely been my experience though been a few years since I upgraded.
However this year they have the added issue of covid impacts on flights & deliveries.
But they haven’t let me down yet so hoping I’ll get that email later today/tonight that was sent half a day after the shipping, and the courier at the door in the morning.

I'm getting grouchy seeing all the posts about your phones shipping. Friday is the weekend here so mine won't be delivered until Sunday.
