Only thing I don't like is Safari not showing me the full url in the address bar until I tap it... Is that geeky enough?

gehenna: You can try turning some things on like Reduced Motion, and off like background app refresh and updates, dynamic backgrounds, etc.

Thanks a lot gehenna.

I went searching and found the following guide that I found very useful.

Legend! Thank you, I was looking for a button that would do that and didn't think to try ".". I can see why some people have been saying iOS has lost some of its intuitiveness.

I also had to re download the dictionary, but I think that always happens with major updates.

Yeah I just don't get where that feedback is coming from. I don't see Android in iOS7 at all. Sure you can swipe in from the top and bottom, is that proprietary to Android? Big whoop.

TwoSeven:
antoniosk: Microsoft has just updated outlook.com to use imap4 and not pop3; my hotmail account was using pop3 and really causing the ipad to lag. Have removed the account and setup the account again, which defaults it to imap4.

Something to be aware of. Not an issue with gmail or iCloud....

I don't think this is quite true.  I believe that MS have recently added IMAP support but they have not (as far as I can make out) removed support for POP. I use the latter on all my devices and it works fine (except for win 8.1 preview, but that's because they have an out of sync certificate).

The only people who I am aware that don't fully support POP (of all the mail services I use) is GMail and they don't correctly implement the POP DEL command for deleting emails (or requesting them not be deleted).

Quite true, I didn't mean to suggest Microsoft had removed POP3 support.

What I found was in iOS6 I had Hotmail syncing via POP3, because that's how the app sets up the account by default. on upgrade to iOS7 and restore, the Hotmail account on my iPad was running quite slow and slowing the whole device down. Removing the account and then following the Apple mail setup process again (in iOS7) sets up an outlook.com account (iMap4) - and after that the device sprang into life and was mostly quick, fluid etc.

kharris: I upgraded my iPhone 5 yesterday.  It works nicely, but has anyone else noticed the battery drains really fast?!!!! I'll be lucky to get a full day out of it now!

Actually found the opposite, the battery seems to be lasting a good deal longer for me.

Had over 50% last night when I put it on charge.

this was on iphone 5. Not sure on Ipad as battery life has never been an issue!

Yesterday for the first time I saw what must have been the frequent locations in action. Came up on the today screen when I was at uni that it'd take 6 minutes to drive to Te Aro(where I live)

After 2-3 days of stuttering performance on my 4S I re-installed as a new device via iTunes. Provided an excellent cull of all my outdated\unused apps as well as fixing all performance related issues. She's flying now, and I'm pretty sure battery life has improved as well.

Just an note about my experience so far running iOS7 on my iPad2.

I actually believe that iOS7 has improved my iPad2, especially scrolling in apps like Tweetdeck and Flipboard. Battery life is no different and the overall experience is smoother. I have not come across anything that would stop me recommending this upgrade to iPad2 owners.

A positive upgrade.

Cheers.
