gnfb: Way to much to wade through  here
So bottem line
to those that have bought a 1padmin 3 or air 2 whate ver the new ones are

should i trade up from my ipad mini retina? is it worth the most likely $2-300 upgrade?

I got the Ipad Air2 so not really going to be that helpful.

From what I have been reading the upgrade to the Ipad Mini is relatively small.

How does your current device run ios8?

I have noticed no difference between my Ipad4 and Ipad Air2 in terms of speed, but the Ipad4 was a 2 year old version so I wanted to try and upgrade that while it was relatively usable, I tend to think Ipad's have a 3-4 year life span as such so selling a 2 year old version ensures the buyer a good experience for 1-2 years.

That said I still haven't sold my 4!

If it wasnt for the fact that we all know that there seems to be a built in life span to apple product I would keep my Ipad Mini I am that happy with it

Very fast and the size is just right for me

But no I better sell it you are right anyone want a apid min retina with box case etc ........ wonder what  will ask for it

With apple product exchanging hands there should be a market for it online like a blue book guide for new zealand........

The only upgrade to the Mini was Touch ID, there is no point in upgrading.

Yeah I agree Its out of warranty now anyway I think

I must have a look and see if anyone has done stats on the price of apple product

I think it would be interesting and also it should point to the optimum time to sell .

I am sure if we asked the guys at trade me to let us have the sales figures for apple product over the last say 5 years, they would give them to us....

Has anyone upgraded from iPad Air to Air 2? I have one and I am thinking if it is worth getting the new one. The iPad Air will stay as it is used by the wife and son too so this is another one that I am looking to purchase. I saw a refurbished one on Apple for Wifi + Cell 64GB for $805.

Just upgraded from my iPad 2 64G wifi+3G to iPad Air 2 128G wifi+4G and couldn't be happier about it.  It is exactly the upgrade I have been waiting for.

The only thing I'm not too impressed is the white stripe at the back against the gold color though.

I did.  Compared to the Air, the touch ID on the Air 2 is nice. I also tricked my brain by getting a substantially thinner and lighter case for my Air 2 so it feels more like a new device :-).  I don't feel that batter life is as good as the Air though, but is about 75% there.

If you don't have cash to burn then I wouldn't bother.
