tardtasticx: Did anyone else get an email about the mini me thing?
Details are so vague. Do we get a number in a queue if we pre-register for that?

What's this about? email from who?

I got this email from spark shortly after 5pm.

Unsure how to embed from mobile, sorry :(

That's kinda cool! You going to do it?

I'm preordering tomorrow direct from Apple, does anybody know from experience when I can expect to actually receive the handset? (assuming that I order in time to secure one from the first shipment that is...)

Yeh I think I might hahaha. I'm literally the most impatient person ever so could hardly wait to get it shipped.

Keen to know the same tho about how long it takes to get it shipped if ordered online.

When I ordered my 5 (within 10 minutes of going live in the site) it took me 3 weeks to get it. I seem to remember there were massive supply issues for that model - not sure if it's as bad with the S releases though.

Was that from your carrier or directly from Apple?

Direct from Apple. It was hard watching people go to Spark and Vodafone and get them on contract on the spot, but I really wanted to buy outright so direct from Apple was the only choice at that point.

Hey so can someone from Spark please let us know whats happening now in terms of the open term/contract only thing? Someone from Spark posted in here earlier about that and now I can't find any of the posts or my replies to it.

Nothing is on their website either. I have to go reserve my spot tomorrow morning, now I'm wondering if its worth the trip to town to have them go back on their word of selling it open term. So much effort to buy a phone.

I'm interested to know what it means on the Apple site (which appears to be down at the moment) by "pre-order 12.9, available 25.9". Does that mean that if you pre-order on the 12th you'll receive it on the 25th? I hope so, because then I can take it on holiday with me.

So has anyone managed to order? I couldn't get in through the website to start with. Managed to order via the app after one false start where it went back to the "we'll be right back" screen, but then it said it had experienced a problem in processing. Tried again, same result. I managed to get in via the website and order after that; it was 7.16pm by that point. I only have one order showing in my account. Says it might deliver 25/9, but given previous experience with TNT (driving around for days with my order in the van) I'm not holding my breath. I'm a bit frazzled now.

Likewise, was sitting around refreshing the apple store website for about 15 minutes before popping onto twitter and seeing that the Apple Store app looked like the way to go. Popped the order in via. the app and was done in minutes. All done now and dusted - No errors during the process, just waiting for the confirmation email now.

Ordered via app just now with no problem. The email confirmation hasnt arrived yet, i suspect their servers are very busy ;-)

I feel somewhat guilty ordering the 6s Plus 128gb.... Making myself feel better with claiming back the GST and selling my iPhone 5 to recoup some cost. :)

I got a rose gold 6s 128GB. I was going to go 64GB but Jarledb made me worry about space with the 4k video. Plus those live photos will probably take up more room. And you can't expand after the fact, so I decided to go future proof. Like you, I'm going to put a lot of music on it, too.
