Hi all

Not sure if i can explain this sufficiently well for you to understand but here goes....

Just in the past few days, this has happened to a few (not all) of my contacts...

Initially, I send a text to a regular recipient and when they reply, it comes under the number not the saved name.....

I can add it to their contact details but then i end up with TWO 'John Smiths' - one outgoing and one incoming....

really frustrating!

Any ideas?

Thanks

S

I'm not sure if this will help as I'm not an Apple user, but it might pay to plug your phone into itunes and see if there is a carrier bundle update available.

I have seen a similar issue on a 3GS running on Telecom which (in messaging) would show only contact numbers but not names. A carrier bundle update fixed this.

I'm not sure if this is the case with your problem, but the symptoms seem similar so it might pay to check.
