Greetings all,

Since I have upgraded my iPad2 to iOS6, I can no longer disable subtitles on I-tune purchased movies. When subtitles are off, I get the old school (pre iOS6) chunky subtitles. Turn them on, and the new slim-line subs are shown.

I just downloaded Prometheus via iTunes, and the fault is still there.

Any ideas here short of resetting the beast?

I'm guessing that subtitles where on when the upgrade to iOS6 was run, and the iPad has confused the settings.

Heya,

Check this thread out: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4350431?start=60&tstart=0

Looks like there's 2 issues going on:

1 - Prometheus seems to have subtitles "burned" into it (e.g. the actual video file has the subtitles).
2 - there does seem to be an issue with subtitles in ios6 and there are a few suggestions in the thread with ideas for getting rid of it - might be worth trying?

Cheers,

Matt
