Hi All,
Well I have had my iPhone 4S since January this year, I have never had a problem with it at all and this particular day there was no reason or hints there was anything with it! I was using it all day texting/calling/facebook/emailing etc by the end of the day the battery was low so on my 2hr drive I put my iPhone on the car charger when I got home it was 100% charged so left in the car while I went inside and got changed. When I got back into the car the phone was dead I tried turning it back on nothing happened so I tried the hard reset which then the apple logo appeared then screen went blank then the apple logo appeared then screen went blank!! So i tried hard reset again to which the iTunes logo and cord appeared saying please connect to iTunes so I did!! Once connected it said iPhone was in recovery mode and must be restored so did that it got to the final stage where it said that iTunes was preparing to restore iPhone then all of a sudden it came up with the following.
iTunes could not restore "iPhone" an unexpected error occurred (1601)
So I contacted Harvey Norman which they said it is still under warranty they would send it away, What I can't understand is why on earth it would take 1 month to be returned!!!
is this common practice?? Who do they use for their repairs & service?? Can I talk to them directly to speed the process up??
As this is my Work phone I need it back ASAP to be able to do my job to the best of my ability!
Thanks for any help that is offered.
Richard
