Im trying to host hotspot from my iphone 5 to a 4s via Bluetooth but cant seem to get it to work. The phones cant seem to see each other during BT pairing. (both phones have latest firmware)

I can BT hot spot from my iphone 5 to my ipad 2 no problem but iPhone to iphone doesn't seem to work(is it even supported??)

I prefer using BT hotspot over wifi as BT doesn't thrash my battery and BT doesn't time out..

iPhone 4S, 5 have BT 4.0. It's rated at 25Mbit which isn't bad at all:)

It cheats, the High speed is via a 802.11 link that the Bluetooth channel controls, it is not via the Bluetooth channels

I don't think it is possible.

I bet if you turn one on as a hotspot, the other will connect to it via bluetooth.
